Yves Rocher Pur Désir Captivating Lavande Shower Gel is a lavender “soliflore” body wash. The product is simple. It lathers up very nicely on a loofah. I’m talking tons of suds here. A little bit of shower gel really stretches. It gentle cleanses the skin. It doesn’t provide any moisture so a lotion will have to follow. (But, I always apply lotion/creams after bathing).
Now to the scent…the fragrance is lavender. It is not a sweet “lullaby” lavender scent, you know those with vanilla added we often see at Bath and Body Works. This is lavender. It is a a bit medicinal but lavender does have a tendency to be this way. It is a clean unisex fragrance. For the price, this is a really good lavender.
I see Yves Rocher Pur Désir Captivating Lavender Shower Gel as a “family” shower gel. It’s simple. It cleanses. The fragrance smells clean and it is unisex. This is the kind of soap that I see everyone in the family using.
Here’s what I use Captivating Lavender Shower Gel as…a hand soap. I put it in a pump bottle by the sink. It has a clean fragrance that most people like and it lathers nicely. Yeah, it doesn’t have an added anti-bacterial agent added. But, that’s fine. I’m old school. Hot water kills germs.
A 6.7 fl. oz bottle usually retails for $10. You know Yves Rocher is always running a sale and many times you can get this shower gel for about $5 because of BOGO. It can be purchased at Yves Rocher. Check out my Beauty Deals & Promos page for special Yves Rocher deals.

I love lavender too. I’ve never tried this one.
I’ve used this before and liked it. It’s simple but really nice for the price. I get tired of those sweet lavender bath products with vanilla or something added. This is lavender and that’s why I like it.
I know what you mean. I don’t dislike the “sweeter” stuff. It isn’t my favorite. I like lavender for what it is.
I’ve been really impressed with Yves Rocher shower gels.
nice review, and good to see another good lavender product. Am old school too, however an added anti-bacterial agent could have been prefered, but anyways, as you say, hot water kills germs. i like the natural lavender fragrance, if it has that, will surely give it a try,
