Weekly Cheap Secret:
I’ve been more than pleased with every Wet n Wild eyeshadow that I have purchased in the past year. Early this year, Wet n Wild launched many more Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios and a few palettes. It’s March and I’ve finally been able to find them! Out of the trios, the one that I thought I’d get the most mileage out of is Silent Treatment. This is a plummy neutral trio. The trio includes:
1 – a pale peachy pink shimmer (can’t really see it in my swatch). This is a great highlight and base shade.
2 – a charcoal plum brown with gold shimmer. This shade looks great in the crease, on the entire lid as a smoky eye, or used with a stiff angle brush as a soft liner. The shimmer can be blended out.
3 -a beautiful medium cool taupe shimmer. This is my favorite shade out of the trio. I like to use it all over the lid for an interesting and simple metallic look.
Each shade is easy to blend and highly pigmented. You can see a look that I did below.
All of the shades are very shimmery, almost foiled, especially when used with a primer. This is nice but I wish that the new Wet n Wild Color Icon Trios offered a few mattes. I wish Wet n Wild would realize that the matte shades are the shades that made Wet n Wild have a new cult following.
This trio retails for under $3. I highly recommend this trio. These shades will work for most people and a variety of complexions. However, this is a must have trio for hazel and green eyes. Check out Wet n Wild Beauty for more info.
