You guys know I’m a fan of Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadows. Wet n Wild eyeshadows are some of the best that I have ever used. Ever. And they’re cheap. I really like the shadows in this compact, but I think they don’t work for me. Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio 331 I Dream of Greenie contains the following colors:
Mint Green -A super shimmery icy mint green. This is a beautiful highlighting shade.
Seafoam – A seafoam green with silver shimmer. It’s very pretty and easy to work with. I have since found out that I like to wear this one in the crease with taupe eyeshadow or vice versa.
Lime Green – This is a lime green with gold shimmer. I love this color. It’s way more flattering and much easier to use than the lime in NARS Rated R Duo and MAC Bitter. Keep in mind that WnW’s is not a dupe. WnW’s is more green, less yellow, and because of that, in my opinion, it’s prettier and easier to work with. But, it’s still really bold.
Since I think these colors look bad on me worn together, I did two looks. And I don’t really like those on me either. These shadows are wonderful but I don’t think they suit me the best. I feel the shades don’t go well with my complexion and overpower my eye color. But, other beauty bloggers are making it work. I think this trio looks the best on those with brown or hazel eyes.
The top look – I’m playing with the NARS Rated R idea. I don’t really like it on me at all. I applied the Lime Green shadow on the lid and lined the bottom lash line. I took the really dark blue from Wet n Wild Palette in Pride and put it on the outer corner. I lined my top lash line with Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Starry Night, a navy.
The bottom look – On the lid, I applied the Mint shadow. In the crease I applied the Seafoam. I lined the bottom lash line with the two shades. I lined the top lash line with Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeliner in Black. I like this look better than the top one, but it really washes me out. I ended up wearing a hot pink lipstick with this. It wasn’t a very “me” look but it didn’t look bad.
All of the eyeshadows are smooth and pigmented, no creasing even without a primer. Like I said, these aren’t the best shades for me. I’m still figuring out to use them. They do look good mixed with taupes, purples, and mauves. If you are looking for new green eyeshadows to add to your collection, don’t hesitate to try this trio. They really are amazing and much better than more expensive eyeshadows that I have used.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios retail for under $3 (yeah, $1 per color). More info at WnW Beauty.
