In late January, I attended the New York International Gift Fair. One of the things that really stood out to me while I was there were the two new home fragrance launches from Votivo. There are many Votivo scents that I consider staples (the ones that I always replenish). Is Mimosa of Breathe of Lavender my new favorites? Let’s see.
Pink Mimosa includes notes of mandarin, strawberry, gardenia, honeysuckle, mimosa, vanilla rum, sandalwood and musk.
This scent is perfect for summer. It’s fruity, casual and sunny. It really is like a Sunday brunch. I get strawberry orange juice with delicate florals. You will notice the creamy, delicate florals more when the candle is burning. When it isn’t burning, it smells mostly of strawberry orange juice. At the NYIGF, a woman with Votivo showed me these two new launches. I smelled Pink Mimosa and smiled. She noticed this. She said that everyone that smells it lights up because when we think of mimosas, we think of happy times with people we like. It’s true. Mimosas are a luxury not because of what they are but because of what they represent – time to enjoy the little things in life with people that make us happy.
Breath of Lavender includes notes of aldehydes, ozone water, Florence lavender, amber, tonka and musk.
When I first sniffed Breath of Lavender, I said, “Wow, this smells like sexy men”. Ron of Notable Scents was with me and agreed that this should be a men’s fragrance. He said he’d love to wear this. My husband smelled the fragrance diffuser and said, “Can I wear this?” The scent is musky and ozonic with a hint of lavender-amber. It’s a little stormy and mysterious. It’s a relaxing scent that really does smell sexy.
Votivo candles come in a variety of sizes. The travel tins are very convenient. I recommend their small size for smaller spaces and well, travel. The larger candles in the glass are better for larger spaces. I always love the simplicity of the glass Votivo candles. The glass is thick, well-made and goes with any space. The candles burn evenly and have an average throw.
I’ve never tried a Votivo Diffuser before and let me say that I highly recommend them. They are very fragrant and have just the right amount of throw. From my experience, most diffusers have been a total waste of money (excluding NEST). But, this one by Votivo is well worth the money. It’s been over a month since I’ve opened it and it still smells as strong as day 1. I absolutely love this diffuser in the Breath of Lavender fragrance. It’s in my bedroom and it fits the space perfectly.
I enjoy both of these new fragrances but I absolutely love Breath of Lavender. I do consider it a Votivo staple. And I’m happy that I tried the diffusers. These are very high quality and I recommend them. I see myself adding more of these to my home.
Candles range from $10-$26. The diffusers retail for $39. Votivo products are available at Beauty.com.
Great review!! I love Votivo diffusers. They are the most fragrant diffusers I’ve tried and the scents are spot on. I also think they are a great value for the price. Mine last several months. I haven’t tried the Breath of Lavender diffuser yet but I definitely will! It sounds fantastic.
I’m hooked on the Votivo diffusers. I think they are a great product, great value. I’m loving the Breath of Lavender scent because it is so calm but in the way that the sky is before a thunderstorm.
Oh, I bet the diffuser comes in Smoke on the Water. I want that to be next one 🙂
[…] It’s a fresh citrus with a sweet, tropical mango and passion fruit that doesn’t remind me of Sicily but the Caribbean. It’s a good fragrance for summer or to burn when you wish it were summer! It’s worth trying if you like scents like Thymes Agave Nectar, Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava and/or Votivo Pink Mimosa. […]
