Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume
Vince Camuto is a shoe designer and has designed the very popular Tory Burch “Reva” ballet flat. He has been involved with tons of projects. There’s a Vince Camuto clothing line and perfumes.
Vince Camuto for Women opens with rum and peach schnapps. I also get pineapple juice. I’m starting to wonder if I can drink this…it’s a very sweet, syrupy fragrance. This isn’t a bad thing; it works for this perfume. The heart keeps the booziness and mixes it with vanilla pipe tobacco and rosy florals. The base is a leathery amber.
I didn’t expect to like Vince Camuto for Women, but I do. It’s “feminine boozy” and pretty darn good for a mainstream fragrance. Have you seen the bottle? It’s cool. Most importantly Vince Camuto fits with the Vince Camuto line. It’s leathery and I believe that fits perfectly with a shoe line. Vince seems to really dig gold medallions for brands and this perfume smells warm and adorned.
Notes listed include rum, osmanthus, Bulgarian rose, night blooming jasmine, leather, vanilla, patchouli, amber and musk. Launch date 2011. PERFUMER – Steve DeMercado
Vince Camuto is one to try if you like sweeter, boozy fragrances. Or if you like perfumes like Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Guerlain Voyage Moscow, Calvin Klein Euphoria, By Kilian Forbidden Games, and/or Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Rose Muskissime. I find Vince Camuto to be a feminine fragrance.
Vince Camuto for Women is have average projection and above average longevity.
Vince Camuto comes in 2 sizes with prices ranging from $60-$78 at Nordstrom and Amazon.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Modern chypre having a little too much on happy hour. I like it as a “feminine booze” fragrance.
