I’ve reviewed a few Villainess soap bars in the past. And here are 2 quick reviews of the “green” bars.
Chloroform – “Crisp cucumber, sickly sweet green vegetation, a dizzy whiff of violets, mind-numbing plum, and a stiff shot of anesthitizing vermouth.”
Chloroform is the soapiest of the Villainess scents that I have tried. This isn’t a bad thing when we’re talking about soap. Chloroform is a green violet and cucumber with a soapy cleanness to it. The bar is a pale green. I recommend this clean scent for warmer climates. Or for those that like more “traditional” bar soap smells.
Jade – “Sparkling citrus, galbanum and bergamot, with a substantional heart of jasmine, cyclamen and roses, peaches and berries. A very earthy denoument of olibanum, patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood and rich dark musk.”
Jade is a pretty scent that smells like fruity cyclamen over a woody musk. The fragrance smells delicate like little forest lilies but mixed with darkness. This scent actually reminds me of a headshop incense I used to buy many, many years ago. It’s like “fruity smokiness”. The bar itself is a very pretty jade green.
Out of these 2, I prefer Jade. However, neither of these are very “me” and not my favorites from the Villainess line. But, don’t read that as they are “bad”, just not my favorite from Villainess.
Each soap bar retails for $5.50 at Villianess.
