Viktoria Minya Hedonist Iris EDP Perfume Review

Viktoria Minya Hedonist Iris

Viktoria Minya Hedonist Iris is a sheer, delicate iris soliflore. If you’re looking for something like the original Hedonist, I think you’re going to be very disappointed. In fact, while trying Hedonist Iris, it was best for me to push the original Hedonist out of my mind. Hedonist Iris is completely different. It’s an ethereal iris.

Hedonist Iris opens as a sheer, light fragrance with subtle spice, sparkling aldehydes and a tart blackcurrant. The heart of the fragrance wears as a sheer iris and a clean cedar. The scent wears as soft, sheer and powdery iris.

What stands out to me the most with Hedonist Iris is that it’s an iris that balances between being both warm and cool. It’s cool aldehydes and iris with warmer peppery and cedar notes.

Notes listed include bergamot, pink pepper, black currant, iris, cedar, cacao pod and labdanum. Launched in 2014. PERFUMER – Viktoria Minya

Give Hedonist Iris a try if you like sheer, light iris soliflores or delicate florals. Or if you like perfumes like Narciso Rodriguez Essence Iridescent, Hermès Hermèssence Iris Ukiyoé, Prada Infusion d’Iris EDT and/or Chanel Les Exclusifs 28 La Pausa. In fact, this fragrance has a very Chanel Les Exclusifs vibe because of all that iris and the bergamot.

The fragrance’s composition is “light”. Projection is below average and longevity is above average. I’ve actually enjoyed wearing it in the heat.

The 1.5 oz bottle retails for $200 at Luckyscent and Twisted Lily. Samples are also available for purchase.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONA sheer, angelic iris. It’s not my favorite from the line and I feel I have this base covered with all my Chanels, but it’s a really pretty “soapy” iris.
