The Lipstick League – week of 9.16.13

Happy first day of fall!

Question of the Week: Fall is here! What makeup items are you adding to your stash to celebrate the season?

EauMG’s Answer: Good question! Currently, I’m lacking inspiration for new items. I believe I have mostly what I need. I am looking for a pretty oyster shell nail polish and a deeper mauve cream blush (if you know of any, please share!). I think most of this fall I’ll be wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin (pink brown), Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Glamorous Life (metallic rose gold) and Inglot Eyeshadow in 348 (medium matte gray).

Chalkboard Nails – This hand placed glitter nail art answers important questions like, “What would a mermaid look like if she was going out clubbing?”

Clumps of Mascara – In honor of Skin Care Awareness Month, I’m giving away a $150 Whole Foods gift card. The lucky winner will be able to load up on skin healthy fruits and veggies!

EauMG – shares her perfume picks for autumn 2013. From hayrides to date night, Victoria has a perfume suggestion for you!

Gouldylox Reviews – Hey Now!  I joined the Stern Universe for one morning and got the chance to ask the beautiful Lisa G how she does it.

Lipglossiping – gets technical and puts Guerlain’s latest foundation to the test, soon discovering that this scientifically-advanced base is the one testing her!

My Beauty Bunny – Blow outs go to the dogs! I had a doggy spa day thanks to the Metro Air Force Commander, a compact dog drying/grooming tool all spoiled pooches must have!

Nouveau Cheap – The Walgreens-exclusive Disney Villains Collections have landed, and one of my favorites is the e.l.f. Maleficent Look Book. Your inner villain won’t be disappointed.

Pink Sith – asks if you are doing serious damage to your hair with your flat iron. She has 5 Helpful Flat Ironing Tips for you to look your best!

Prime Beauty – takes a look at Lancôme’s the Absolu Désir Collection for Fall 2013 and it’s trés magnifique!

Phyrra – shares her most favorite cruelty free beauty products! From hair to skincare, makeup and more!

  1. Hi, Victoria!

Regarding your search for blush, since the range of cream blushes is not wide enough nor can one find the right quality, why don’t you search for a lipstick to do the job? I prefer cream full-pigment lipsticks for blush, because I can sheer them out as much as I desire and they are long-lasting.

    1. Thank you! Good idea. The shade that I was actually thinking of is the same shade as a satin finish Revlon lipstick that I have (Super Lustrous formula). I will give that a try! Thanks 🙂

    1. OK. I will.
I prefer cream textures in the winter here because they hold up better in the rain. Powder blushes look awful on a damp face.

        1. I have that “hot red” or whatever. I really like it. I don’t have any of the colors. I’m sure they have a lighter shade like a mauve or something.

  2. KURE BAZAAR has lovely oyster shades in Milk, Rose Milk and one more, I think Beige Milk? They are really pretty, non-toxic as much as possible, nail polishes. I like the Rose Milk best. You can see all of their colours on the website.

    1. Thank you for introducing me to this line. I’ve never heard of it before!
Rose Milk is gorgeous. That’s the sort of shade I’d imagine I’d wear frequently.
