The Lipstick League – week of 8.19.13

Question of the Week – Do you ever fall into a beauty rut? If so, what types of things help to pull you out of it?

EauMG’s Answer: I wouldn’t say it’s a rut but more like figuring out what works for you or what doesn’t. In my early 20’s, I wore every color of eyeshadow ever and switched it up daily. At my age now, I like my two looks of “no eye makeup, red or dark lips” and “French New Wave eyeliner and nude lips”. These are the looks that I alternate between and I’m fine with that. And you guys know I can’t leave my hair alone. Sometimes I wish I’d get in a hair rut!

Prime Beauty – has stars in her eyes after reviewing the stunning Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Constellation…satin stars, shimmer stars, purple stars…oh my.

Phyrra – shares her Makeup Wars Favorite Hair Tools. Find out her must have items!

My Beauty Bunny – This week I revved up my lips with Too Faced’s Lip Injection Color Bombs. Check out the swatches of the six new shades of this hydrating and plumping lippie.

Nouveau Cheap – “Revolutionary” is a strong word, but what if I told you that you could combine two manicure steps into one and achieve a really cool nail look at the same time? Meet the new Orly Matte FX Matte Flakie Top Coats.

  1. No, you’re not allowed to get in a hair rut, Victoria. I like seeing all your different styles! (But I am loving your latest short bob the best … so if you get in a rut, leave it there. πŸ™‚ Are you still happy with it?)

    1. I do like to play with hair…
I do still like it. I haven’t gotten it trimmed (but I should). It’s a little longer which I like because I can curl it if I want which gives it some texture. I’ll probably keep it short for most of winter. I want to wear the bob with cute hats πŸ™‚
