The Lipstick League – Week of 8.24.15

Question of the Week: How many makeup products do you use for an everyday face?

EauMG’s Answer: You know, I’ve never counted. I actually think it would shock me. After being asked, I tried to keep dibs. Most days I use the following: concealer, finishing/brightening powder, foundation (not most days), highlighter, brow pencil or pomade, clear brow gel, eye makeup primer, at least 2 eyeshadows, most days I use eyeliner, mascara, blush, taupe powder to contour (not everyday), lip liner, lip balm, lip color. So, that’s 16, right? Wow. And that’s me being stingy with shadows and not counting extras like face or lip primers that I occasionally use.

  1. It’s funny because I’ve had people tell me that I was wearing a lot of makeup but really, it was just a bright lip. A “natural ” look takes much more makeup than most realize, I guess.

    1. This is so true. When I do a bright/bold/dark lip, I’m actually wearing a lot *less* makeup. Any of the “natural” looks require that I use a lot more products.
