Question of the Week: Which celebrity do you wish would create a celebrity fragrance and why? What do you think it should smell like?
EauMG’s Answer: Oh, I’d LOVE to hear your answer to this question. Years ago, I would have (and did say) RuPaul but Ru launched Glamazon last year. And then I would have said Elvira but Elvira launched perfumes with Demeter last year. Hell, there are even Sun Ra perfumes now! There are celebs that I would like to make a celeb perfume but honestly, they probably wouldn’t go over too well (Pam Grier, Nina Hagen, Courtney Love). I do think that Björk could do the celeb perfume thing and partner with a brand like Etat Libre d’Orange and do really well. I’d want it to smell cold, metallic and glacial but have lots of extremes/contrasts.

My votes for dream celebrity fragrances would go to:
Steve Buscemi (a boozy frankincense with an animalic base? maybe a short-lived burst of seaweed at the top?)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (spiced plum cognac with plenty of cardamom)
Amy Adams (spiced pear lavender?)
I’d so buy a Steve Buscemi fragrance.
I would actually imagine that a Joseph Gordon-Levitt and an Amy Adams perfume would do well commercially. Plus, with your creative direction, they would actually smell great! 🙂
Bjork would make an amazing perfume!
