The Lipstick League – week of 6.9.14
Question of the Week: You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore. Which do you keep?
EauMG’s Answer: I only own two foundations. And one is high end and the other is drugstore. I love Guerlain Lingerie de Peau (retails for $61). It’s lightweight and looks good even on my dry skin. I also like Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup (retails for about $14). It’s not really “whipped” but it’s a cream that gives me full-coverage and a flawless complexion. What about you?

My two foundations would be Urban Decay Naked foundation and I’m the same as you for the drugstore one, Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme. Both blend well on me and neither settles into the cracks and crevices. I also like that they look pretty good in daylight. I hate foundations that give a chalky or mask like finish. I want coverage without caking.
I have’t tried the Urban Decay one but I think I would like it. It’s lightweight, buildable and I like many of their products. I wouldn’t mind a cheaper alternative to the Guerlain. I like nice things but it’s over $60 now! I think I need to shop around, lots of been added to the market since I got hooked on the Guerlain one.
The Colorstay Whipped does great with my skin. It provides more coverage that what I usually want on a day-to-day basis but it’s excellent. Like you said, no settling and doesn’t look like a mask. The finish isn’t flat either. And I can build it wear I need it.
