The Lipstick League – week of 3.3.14
Question of the Week: Name the last beauty product that was a failure for you.
EauMG’s Answer: Thanks to wonderful bloggers, I rarely encounter beauty products because I do my “research” first. Really the only mishaps I encounter are the impulse drugstore cosmetic purchases of products that I don’t look up and can’t swatch. My last fail was with Revlon Super Lustrous Shine Lipstick in Honey Bare. I was waiting for a prescription and saw that Revlon lipsticks were on sale. Now I love Super Lustrous lipsticks. Like love them so much. I thought the Shine Collection sounded nifty even though I rarely wear sheer formulas. Anyway, bought the color Honey Bare and it looks like world’s ugliest tinted lip balm on me. It makes me look dead and lifeless; I can usually wear pale mod shades. And the formula was sticky. At least it was only a $4 failure. Who knows, maybe it will mix well with another shade…
