The Lipstick League – week of 11.28.16

Question of the Week: Spill it! What beauty products did you buy during Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday?

EauMG’s Answer: It was tough, but I kept it under control. I bought one of those Black Friday boxes from Memebox. I don’t need any of its contents but it’s the novelty. I classified that purchase into my “entertainment budget”. YSL had 20% off. I bought YSL Opium Body Oil because I didn’t know it was a thing. I also bought a red-orange lipstick engraved with my name. And that’s it. What about you?

  1. I see you have Le Baiser du Dragon in your current cravings–that stuff is AMAZING. One of my top five perfumes for me. Lasts ages on me and cycles through so many wonderful notes while I’m wearing it before it settles down. Gorgeous.

    1. It used to be a perfume that I wore frequently. One of the closest to a “signature” for me. I haven’t worn it in years and I was thinking about it. It’s such a great perfume. Plus, the packaging is stunning. Sometimes I focus too much on “new” and forget about gems like this.

  2. I bought a “lash growth” product that I’ve used only once since purchase because I never remember my lashes. I guess I like them short instead of long subconsciously. I always do this with lash products. I should just stop buying them and focus on bath products which I do use and seldom think about on black friday.

    1. Do lash growth products work? I’ve never tried them. I have thick, super short lashes.

I need to stop buying stuff. To put it lightly, I’m stocked and need to use up the things I have. But, I’ve realized I’m an emotional buyer. I should work on that…
