Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 Wish Come True Perfume Review

Stephane Humbert Lucas Wish Come True

When I first saw the bottle of Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 Wish Come True, I had no desire to try the perfume. It looks like a weird Christmas ornament on a giant mall tree. I also thought the name was corny. I later put together that this is one of those French brands inspired by the Middle East. So, I think is some sort of “Aladdin”-ish thing. Anyway, I’m happy I tried it because it’s way more interesting than I initially expected.

April Aromatics Nectar of Love Natural Perfume Review

April Aromatics Nectar of Love

April Aromatics Nectar of Love is a romantic fragrance. It definitely reminds me of some sort of nectar of the goddesses. It’s sweet, syrupy florals that are almost too good to be true. This is where I like to think of it as romantic love. Love is complicated and Nectar of Love spares us of any pain or conflict. It’s a pretty, uplifting perfume that’s like wearing “warm and fuzzy feelings”.

Nectar of Love is a sweet white floral. It opens with citrus, but not… Continue reading

Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger Rose Irisee EDP Perfume Review

Au pays de la fleur Rose Irisee

PURPLE FLOWERS WEEK 2017

It’s an annual tradition on EauMG to feature “purple flowers” on the week of Nowruz/Vernal Equinox. “Purple flowers” are what I call flowers that (usually) have purple blossoms and bloom in spring: lilacs, violets, iris, heliotrope, hyacinth and wisteria (when I’m feeling generous). Why don’t we talk about Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger more than we do?… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Perfume Review

Chanel Coco Madamoiselle

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

There are so many popular perfumes that I haven’t reviewed because I don’t know where to start. Some perfumes are intimidating because of their popularity. You already know what they smell like. But, then I figure it’s popularity gives us something to discuss, right?

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle…where do I start? This is an insanely popular perfume with sales that even surprise Chanel. It’s a flanker that was created for younger women (the 20-30 year old crowd). It was insanely popular when it… Continue reading | 14 Comments

Roxana Illuminated Perfumes Mellifera EDP Natural Perfume Review

Roxana Illuminated Perfumes Mellifera

Roxana Illuminated Perfume Mellifera is one of those perfumes that smells like sunshine and green meadows. It has a joyful energy that radiates.

The opening of Mellifera is invigorating with what smells like lemon peel and iced seltzer water. It’s a cool, green citrus with effervescence. The heart is heady with a cooling ylang-ylang and powdery, pollen-y mimosa. Mellifera smells “yellow” with its huge yellow bouquet and lemon zest. The perfume is inspired by bees and that becomes even more apparent as the perfume becomes a… Continue reading | 4 Comments
