Providence Perfume Co. Vientiane Natural Perfume Review

Providence Perfume Co. Vientiane

Do you love sandalwood? If so, you are really missing out if you haven’t tried Providence Perfume Co. Vientiane.

Review spoiler alert: Vientiane is an amazing sandalwood. It is the perfect mix of nutty, creamy, green and woodsy. From the beginning Vientiane is a very obvious sandalwood. It opens with a mix of “creamy green” sandalwood. In addition, there is a very realistic jasmine rice accord.¹ It smells like the steam from a pot jasmine rice. There’s a subtle greenness that at times I think are… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Raw Spirit Perfume Reviews – A Roundup

Raw Spirit Winter Oak

Here’s three quick reviews of Raw Spirit perfumes:

WINTER OAK

Notes listed include clary sage, Italian bergamot, pepper, lemon, geranium, saffron, mate absolute, clove bud, olibanum, suede, oak, oakmoss, cedar, Haitian vetiver, patchouli and musk. Launched in 2014. PERFUMER – Harry Fremont

Amouage Beach Hut Man Perfume Review

Amouage Beach Hut Man

Life is a beach, but Amouage Beach Hut Man isn’t. Or at least it’s not some tropical floral/coconut/”Margaritaville” beach. If you do, just stick to stuff like Creed Virgin Island Water and leave this new one from Amouage alone.

Mancera Aoud Violet Perfume Review

Mancera Aoud Violet

PURPLE FLOWERS WEEK 2018

It’s an annual tradition on EauMG to feature “purple flowers” on the week of Nowruz/Vernal Equinox. “Purple flowers” are what I call flowers that (usually) have purple blossoms and bloom in spring: lilacs, violets, iris, heliotrope, hyacinth and wisteria (when I’m feeling generous). These are the sort of florals that make me think of spring. Plus, it gives me an excuse to talk about some of my favorite floral notes.

During most Purple Flowers Weeks I tend to put my focus on a… Continue reading | 2 Comments

NEST White Sandalwood Perfume Review

Nest White Sandalwood

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

In 2013, Nest Fragrances launched a line of fine fragrances. I reviewed a few of them shortly after their launch. They’ve since launched a few more perfumes (that I have not tried). I’m more familiar with the brand’s home fragrances, which is why when I was walking in Soho last year and saw a sign for a Nest Sample Sale, I went in. I don’t know how familiar you are with sample… Continue reading | 6 Comments
