EauMG’s Most Worn Perfumes Spring 2013

Here’s the perfumes that I found myself reaching for the most during the spring of 2013. I admit that I’m rather traditional when it comes to spring perfumes. I want to smell like flowers. If you talked to me a few years ago, I didn’t even wear florals. Now they’re sort of my “thing”.

Chanel Cristalle EDP Perfume Video Review

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I’ve always admired the genre of green fragrances but they used to intimidate them. They were sharp, crisp and I always imagined they carry a small clutch and have a really organized desk. You see, I didn’t relate to green perfume. They weren’t “me”. I’m scatterbrained, carry a big bag and have the world’s messiest desk. After being into perfume for over 10 years, green perfumes have grown on me as my experiences have broadened. Chanel Cristalle EDP was my gateway green.

Cristalle opens with bitter galbanum and tart peach. I also get… Continue reading | 20 Comments

Opus Oils Birthday Bash & A Fragrance Freebie!

Collaboration is essential to the world of perfume. Without muses, we wouldn’t have half of the classics we still wear today. One of the many things that appeals to me about the indie lines is collaboration. I’ve seen perfumers make scents for indie stores and galleries. I’ve even seen indie perfumers make perfumes inspired by blogging projects. I have to say from my experience that the most diverse and prolific collaborator is Kedra Hart of Opus Oils.

Opus Oils is a nifty perfume line located in Hollywood. The boutique is open by appointment. This time last year, I was… Continue reading | 38 Comments

EauMG’s Spring 2013 Perfume Picks

Last year I put together my list of lesser known perfumes that I thought were perfect for spring. They’re still perfect for spring. But, I know how you guys are, you always want to hear about something new 😉

I’m usually very predictable and traditional when it comes to spring. I like the florals. I really, really like the “purple” florals like violet, lilac, hyacinth and iris. This isn’t my personal list of “most worn for Spring 2012”, these are my pics of perfumes that I think are pretty for spring. And because I’m so… Continue reading | 16 Comments

Penhaligon’s Peoneve EDP Perfume Video Review

Penhaligon's Peoneve

I’m not usually a fan of soliflores as many are boring. I hestitated trying Penhaligon’s Peoneve due to the lackluster backstory and the fact that every peony perfume I try leaves me with a headache (as well as smelling peony flowers). After trying Peoneve I was taken back. This is one gorgeous lush “pink” floral.

Peoneve opens a big ‘ole floral with a big ‘ole helping of jasmine. Peoneve is heady and pretty but it does have a bit of an animalic funk (probably a… Continue reading | 10 Comments
