Last week, I reviewed Caron Nuit de Noel, a classic perfume that’s very Caron-y but not really Christmas-y (or at least it doesn’t remind me of Christmas). This had me thinking, which perfumes smell like Christmas? I’ve always thought Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguelles, a perfume that reminds me of spicy evergreens and apple cider, is holiday-ish. Etro Rajasthan reminds me of Swedish Christmas cookies. Spicy perfumes like Aramis JHL and Estee Lauder Cinnabar
Phlur is a new brand of perfumes located in Austin, Texas. As someone that has been writing a perfume blog since 2008, I’ve tried a lot of brands. Phlur claims to take the “BS out of fragrance buying”. That’s honorable, but what is the BS? Blooming Dream is an all-natural line of perfumes based in Portland, Oregon. The perfumes are inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with some of the perfumes’ ingredients coming from the perfumer’s own garden. It’s like “farm to vanity” perfumery.
I’m reviewing two of the perfumes that are available in the organic alcohol-based EDP Collection.
