The last time I wore extensions was when a Hilton was more popular than a Kardashian. So yeah, that was a long time ago. I don’t know if I told you guys this, but I’m trying to grow out my hair. And yes, I’ve said this before. And yes, I have no patience and immediately get it cut as soon as it hits below the chin. I really like short hair but sometimes it feels like it lacks “umph” because it’s been cut that way for so long. So yes, I only want to grow my hair out to cut it short again…for maximum impact.

Today I’m reviewing the hair care products that I’ve been using for the past few months.
Here’s a quick reminder of my hair type – Straight, course and thick. I have a small section that is bleached and covered in vegetable dye. My biggest concerns are frizz (thanks to Seattle weather) and keeping my hair healthy since I occasionally heat style and bleach.
Nourishing Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner
According to the company, these contain coconut oil to fight frizz, vitamin rich mango oil to moisturize and açai fruit oil to provide antioxidant protection.
Fragrance line aroma M has expanded their line to include products for the skin and hair. Using her background in aromatherapy and interest in beauty rituals used by geishas, Maria McElroy has created all-natural oils for the face and hair.
Camellia oil is packed with moisturizing fatty oils and vitamins. It’s a “secret of the geisha” (even samurais and sumo wrestlers used it) but you still see this oil commonly sold at Japanese, Korean and Chinese markets.
