Tom Ford White Patchouli EDP Perfume Review

Tom Ford White Patchouli

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Tom Ford White Patchouli is one of those prime examples of why I love talking about perfume within a community of perfume lovers. It’s one of those that I love for all the reasons that everyone else hates it for.

When White Patchouli was launched in 2008 (the same year that I started EauMG), I immediately fell for it. And when it comes to Tom Ford and me, this is… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Cacharel Eden EDP Perfume Review

Cacharel Eden perfume

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Eden has always reminded me of a “space garden”¹, this is a garden housed in some bubble on some planet we’ve never heard of. It’s a sci-fi fruity floral; a synthetic replication of paradise.

The opening is a metallic citrus and adlehydes, cool and mineral and somewhat like the opening in Kenzo Ça Sent Beau but more humid. It wears as green, citrus and humid with a hint of spicy anise. As the steam lifts, it’s a green tuberose and “space fruits”… Continue reading | 12 Comments

Caron Infini EDT Perfume Review

Caron Infini EDT

I love Caron fragrances because they tell a story. And most of the time I don’t need to know the story beforehand. I figure it out on my own.

While wearing Caron Infini EDT, I was hearing the song “In The Year 2525“, the Visage cover, of course. Somehow it’s optimistic… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Man EDT Men’s Fragrance Review

The Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

All I know of Paco Rabanne is that he is the designer that designed all those bizzare-o Barbarella costumes. Well, the guy has many perfumes and colognes as well, the most recent one to have 15 minutes of fame has been Lady Million (ick). Paco Rabanne fragrances aren’t very popular in the U.S. In fact, until recently, I thought they were only sold in the U.K.! Anyways, Ultraviolet Man is a bit sci-fi. Imagine… Continue reading | 9 Comments

NARS Fall 2010 Color Collection

NARS Fall 2010

NARS autumn 2010 color collection is “Old Hollywood meets futuristic look”. Are we talking Metropolis here? Regardless, the concept is quite dreamy. I’m a vintage and sci-fi geek so the thought of this tickles my soul. This collection is all about the bold. That’s why NARS is one of my favorite brands. NARS has also featured his muse, Daphne Guinness. I really do like her, but everyone is making such a fuss that NARS named a color after her. Have they forgotten that this trend setter has her… Continue reading | 2 Comments
