Aromatherapy Associates Natural Perfume Review

Aromatherapy Associates

Can you believe it’s already September?! In a few months it’ll be a new year! I’ve already started back to graduate school. This is my final year. I look forward to receiving my Masters of Science but I also know that it’s going to be a very stressful year. To cope, I made a little deal with myself (one that popped into my head while receiving an excellent facial at Omorovicza‘s flagship spa in Budapest) – Get some sort of spa treatment or facial once a… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Kahina Giving Beauty Serum Review

Kahina Serum

Years ago, I tried Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil. The line has since expanded to include a variety of skincare products. I’ve tried the Beauty Serum. The line also has a Brightening Serum; that’s not the one I tried.

The claims: Repair tissue damage. Prevent moisture loss. Calm irritation. Reduce inflammation. Protect skin damage from UV rays. Combat flaky skin.

Ingredients:  argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil*, coffea arabica (coffee) seed oil*, bisabolol, punica granatum (pomegranate) seed extract*, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract*, hippophae rhamnoides (seabuckthorn)

Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale EDT Fragrance Review

Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

You have to love when a designer brand spares you the prose of their new launch. With Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale, I was told it was “inspired by water” and with the name and the color, I could deal with this.

Acqua Essenziale opens with cool herbs like mint and rosemary over aquatic melon. It’s extremely “fresh”. And then it turns into Irish Spring bar soap – the aquatic freshness turns into mountain spring freshness. Sharp and clean… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Penhaligon’s Eau de Cologne Fragrance Review

Penhaligon's Eau de Cologne

Originally created in 1927, Penhaligon’s Eau de Cologne has been relaunched in the Anthology Collection. Eau de Cologne should get an award for the most fleeting fragrance on the planet. I swear that its life span is 5 minutes on my skin. Even for an eau de cologne, I find this remarkable.

I find Eau de Cologne very refreshing. It opens as freshly squeezed lemons and oranges. It’s very effervescent and optimistic. I get some of that heady neroli that reminds me of little petals… Continue reading | 2 Comments
