PURPLE FLOWERS WEEK 2018

It’s an annual tradition on EauMG to feature “purple flowers” on the week of Nowruz/Vernal Equinox. “Purple flowers” are what I call flowers that (usually) have purple blossoms and bloom in spring: lilacs, violets, iris, heliotrope, hyacinth and wisteria (when I’m feeling generous). When I first wore Masque Milano Terralba I was reminded of a place that I’ve never been. It’s a place on the Mediterranean coast. A little house with terracotta pots filled with herbs. A little house on built on a cliff. A little house surrounded by wiry evergreens and bright blue saltwater. The sun always shines on this little house.

Fuzzy Blue Blanket by Skye Botanicals is a natural perfume created to smell like the summers at Martha’s Vineyard. Fuzzy Blue Blanket does bring to mind summer afternoons, but the cuddly base reminds me of being covered with a cashmere throw on a cool fall evening.
