Ormonde Jayne Prive Perfume Review

There’s a lot of reasons to be upset with the uber-wealthy but I think one reason that most of us can agree on is that most of the uber-wealthy do very boring things with their money. I am sure that all of us have sat around, even those of us that only gamble by buying perfumes unsniffed, fantasizing about what we would do if we won the lottery. Once we get past the things that could make us very comfortable, we can fantasize about what we would do with the extra or what we’d… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Thameen Perfume Reviews

Thameen¹ is a British niche perfume house that makes perfumes that are inspired by iconic jewels and jewelry. I don’t know much about the jewels worn by royalty, but I do like the idea of comparing gemstones to perfumes. In a way, you can think of perfume like a piece of jewelry, an accessory. It’s a way to add some sparkle and some glamour to your look.

Thameen is a new-to-me brand even though they’ve been around for a few years. Being British, they haven’t had much presence in the U.S. until recently. There are a lot of them (seems like… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Odin 04 Petrana Perfume Review

Odin 04 Petrana

PURPLE FLOWERS WEEK 2018

It’s an annual tradition on EauMG to feature “purple flowers” on the week of Nowruz/Vernal Equinox. “Purple flowers” are what I call flowers that (usually) have purple blossoms and bloom in spring: lilacs, violets, iris, heliotrope, hyacinth and wisteria (when I’m feeling generous). Odin 04 Petrana is one of those “purple florals” that really makes me… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb EDT Fragrance Review

Viktor Rolf Spicebomb

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Today I’m going to review a fragrance who’s packaging has probably put more people in detention than anything else: Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb. It seems like every six months there is a story that hits the news regarding someone held by TSA for suspicious goods only to find out it’s a bottle of Spicebomb¹.

I hate the bottle. And I’m not really the demographic for Spicebomb so I’ve never tried it. However, it gets brought up a lot… Continue reading | 7 Comments

Atelier Cologne Bois Blonds EDT Perfume Review

Atelier Bois Blonds Cologne

It’s still hot and humid. This has me revisiting “fresh” fragrances like those in the Atelier Cologne Absolues “Collection Originale“. I’ve been in the mood for a fresh vanilla like Vanille Insensée and the green clover “eau de cologne” Trèfle Pur. I’ve worn Bois Blonds for a few days and couldn’t believe that I haven’t reviewed it yet. Bois Blonds is like an “incense eau de cologne”.

Bois Blonds opens up with spicy pink pepper with a splash of orange blossom water. The pink pepper… Continue reading | 4 Comments
