This isn’t usually the type of look that we moderns think of when we think “70’s”. This is classic babe. Classic babe doesn’t really change. Here’s what I did to get this Elga inspired look:
FACE: Under the eyes with my fingers, I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector. With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. I go over that and blend/soften with a Beautyblender. With a powder brush, I applied Rimmel Stay Matte
This is one of my favorite portraits of Jean Peters. It is the color combo. I love lime and hot pink together. Also, it’s a beautiful and simple look. Timeless. And her brows should win a lifetime achievement award. Best. Brows. Ever.

I have always thought that Lena Horne was one of those people that only became more beautiful with age. I feel she was in her prime in the 1970’s. Weekly Cheap Secret:
I’m a Revlon lipstick fan. Over the past few years, they have really stepped up their game. The colors have always been fantastic but the formula felt really heavy and there was a terrible flavor/scent. That’s all gone now and I own many Revlon lipsticks.
