Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee EDP Perfume Review

Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee

From the name to the copy,  Annick Goutal Nuit Étoilée brings to mind van Gogh’s “The Starry Night”. I’m always surprised when brands commit to such boldness. This is an iconic painting easily recognized that often pops up in our popular culture. It’s been discussed in every Art History 101 class. People have spent years researching and interpreting it. When one chooses such an inspiration, it comes with a lot of expectations. And in the world of perfume, expectations do you no favors.

Simply Scrub Organic Body Scrub Reviews

Simply Scrub Scrubs

I use body scrubs all year long, but I do find myself using them more in the summer when more of my skin is exposed to the world.

Becca & Mars Refresh Aromatherapy Blend Review

Becca & Mars Refresh

Natural brand Becca & Mars has launched Refresh, an aromatherapy line to help with congestion brought on by colds, flu and seasonal allergies. Usually I have terrible allergies for at least 7 months of the year. Since we’ve moved, I haven’t had any. See, there are some perks to living without trees. Or maybe there are perks to not living in an old house. I did get a respiratory thing a few weeks ago that left me slightly congested (actually, I’m starting to suspect it was allergies). I… Continue reading | 3 Comments

Phaedon Noir Marine EDT Perfume Review

Phaedon Noir Marine

I feel that like all trends, aquatics will come back. The new breed will be darker and moodier. We will never see squeaky clean aquatics vanish, they are like rat tails. However, I believe we will witness an evolution of aquatics in our life time. They will be bossier and brinier than ever imagined. When I saw Noir Marine by Phaedon, I got excited. Could it be the Redeemer of my foreseen aquatic vision?

Noir Marine opens rather strange to me. It reminds me of peppermint… Continue reading | 2 Comments
