Yves Rocher Naturelle Osmanthus Perfume Review

Yves Rocher Naturelle Osmanthus

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I try to review as many Yves Rocher fragrances that I can. Why? Well, overall, I like the brand. I think they’re good for the money. Then, in the U.S. there are no physical Yves Rocher stores. You can order online which means that you are blind-buying fragrances (a practice I typically discourage). And finally, there are few reviews of Yves Rocher fragrances in English. Basically, I review Yves Rocher like it’s a public service announcement.

Montale Sweet Peony Perfume Review

Montale Sweet Peony

Montale Sweet Peony is one of those perfumes that wears nothing like the note list would imply (even though you smell most of what is in the note list). It also doesn’t wear like its name would imply either. Because of both of these factors, that’s why I feel inclined to review it. I feel like I’m doing the public a service.

Yves Saint Laurent YSL Mon Paris Perfume Review

YSL Mon Paris

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

A couple New Year’s Days ago, I was washing my hands after making enough tamales to feed a multi-generational familial unit. I glanced into the mirror and saw something light at my center part. Kenzo World perfume

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When Kenzo launched Kenzo World last year it generated quite the buzz…before it was even launched. Spike Jonze had directed a rather unusual commercial¹ featuring a gyrating Margaret Qualley, a Jamaican dancehall deejay and a hovering giant eye …all of this to sell us a perfume in a weird eye bottle. I knew with so much production there was no way I’d be pleased with this perfume. It was eluding to weirdness and even though KENZO has made some “wearable… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Ariana Grande Moonlight Perfume Review

Ariana Grande

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Let’s get this out of the way: I am not the target demographic for any Ariana Grande perfume. I’m going to keep that in mind while I sample the newest Ariana Grande perfume, Moonlight¹. I may not be the target demographic for a celebrity perfume by a young pop star, but I have to confess I’ve seen her perfumes at Ulta and really thought the little “bunny tail” packaging was cute. Yes, not for someone my age, but definitely cute for someone… Continue reading
