Drugstore Divas Week – 2016
This week I’m revisiting popular perfumes available at US drugstores. The sort of perfumes that many of us know but many of us perfume lovers completely ignore.
If I were to survive some sort of post-apocalyptic nuclear holocaust situation, I feel there would be very little that I could contribute to rebuild society. When it comes to survival, my skills are rather useless. However, there’s something I have no doubt that I could do. And that’s do cave drawings or even reenactments… Continue reading | 8 Comments
Testing something as bright and sunny as Phoenix Botanicals Peach Tree Garden when there is snow on the ground should feel so wrong, but it doesn’t. Peach Tree Garden is a reminder that underneath the ice, there’s life. It’s a reminder that in a few months what are now bare branches will soon be covered with pastel blossoms.

The spices in this don’t add heat but they add a dry woodiness like bark on a forest floor. Bergamoss dries down to… Continue reading | 7 Comments
Rose Week 2015
Viktoria Minya has launched a rose soliflore, Hedonist Rose. This soliflore focuses on the fruity and honeyed aspects of roses. The final result is a delicate, winsome fruity-floral.
Hedonist Rose is a peachy rose. It opens with ripe, fuzzy peaches and a dry, spicy clove with a hint of sweet, delicate honey. It’s light and airy – a fruity rose with subtle spice. Hedonist Rose dries down to a sheer, jammy rose with white musk. Hedonist Rose reminds me of a chilled… Continue reading | 1 Comment
