Growing up in a landlocked state, I didn’t realize that dolphins lived outside of aquarium glass walls. This is sad. When I moved to the PNW over 5 years ago, I was amazed. I literally got in my car from Nashville and kept driving until I smelled salt water. Deep within the depths of this salt water amazing creatures dwell: whales, octopus and yes, orcas. This still blows my mind.
Here’s my overview of the Seattle Artisan Fragrance Salon. It was an 80º day with full-sun, absolutely gorgeous, and an anomaly for this time of year. I admit that I went into this very distracted (also, my birthday was the day before and I was out late and a friend was visiting from out of town too). So, what I’m saying is that I did a horrible job with pictures. I was lazy. Plus, it was gorgeous. See above.
April 1st – SoDo – Getting off on the wrong bus stop leaves me walking half a mile through working train tracks in winklepickers like some darkwave music video outtake. Mocking me, the smell of Southern fried chicken fills the otherwise light air. I stuck my head in a fancy moonshine still. Seriously.
April 2nd – Downtown – Foot pain that I’ve been experiencing for a week leaves me at home with a propped up puffy, tumid foot. I wear a musky perfume and slow roast a Jamaican jerk chicken feeling sorry for myself.
April 3rd – Downtown
Taste TV is presenting the Artisan Fragrance Salon in Seattle. This is an artisan, niche, premium fragrance show coming to the Northwest for the very first time. At this show you can do “olfactory tastings”, meet the perfumers and purchase perfume at this event. There will also be panels and fragrance discussions. Your ticket will also get you into the Chocolate Salon as well.
Date: Sunday, May 5th
Time: 11 am-5 pm
March 1st – Downtown – Orange blossom! The elevator smells of Arquiste Infanta y Flor. Someone in this building has wonderful tastes and probably shops at Barneys. Someone other than me…
March 2nd – Downtown – Shopping and perfume sniff-a-thon. There are so many pitiful things that make the final cut. Stop with the pointless releases of things that smell like some pointless thing released 5 years ago.
March 3rd – Redmond – First time I’ve ever been here and I’m not missing a thing. The smell of cheap vanilla candle wax
