If you haven’t already noticed, Pacific Northwest based perfume line, House of Matriarch, has rebranded their line and extended their distribution to the Seattle-based department store, Nordstrom. This is huge! More and more retailers understand that many of us want more interesting options! At first, I was a little skeptical because I thought that the formulas would have been compromised. But, they haven’t. I’ve sampled them all and the brand is better now than ever.
Last weekend, I headed on out to the Sequim Lavender Festival. Sequim is about an hour from where I live (crazy geography, looks closer on a map). I often forget that I live in a beautiful place. How easily we get spoiled! I remember when I first moved here how novel it was that I could grow lavender without taking care of it…and without killing it!

I’ve fallen hard for the Juniper Ridge line. This makes sense since I love woodsy and evergreen fragrances. And…Juniper Ridge is a West Coast brand with products scented from the lovely forests that we have here. Being that I split my free time between fragrance boutiques and the woods, it would make sense that I would love this brand.
I am not a Twilight fan. Saying that I have only seen the movie and have never read the books. I found the movie very, very dull but felt I had to see it since it was like literally filmed in our backyard. The film was beautiful just for the scenery of the lovely rainforests and coast of Washington (even though it did Rialto beach/LaPush no justice).
