Ormonde Jayne Vanille d’Iris Perfume Review

Ormonde Jayne Vanille d'Iris

If you live in the U.S., I’m sure you’ve noticed a huge influx of Ormonde Jayne perfumes. It seems like everyone is carrying them. I’m not complaining. This has always been a brand that I liked but because of distribution and the fact that I never travel to London, I wasn’t buying anything from them. Now that I can actually sample and wear the brand, I’m finding there’s a lot of Ormonde Jayne perfumes that I’ve missed out on, such as Vanille d’Iris.

When I first tried Vanille d’Iris, I… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Gallivant Brooklyn Perfume Review

Gallivant Brooklyn

Gallivant describes Brooklyn (the fragrance) as
It’s non-stop go-go-go. Energetic with a creative and intellectual fizz. Power-walking to a breakfast meeting over the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s life on the sidewalk, early summer breezes, the glow from the lighting in bars and diners, bright apartments with books. Cocktails with friends. Why don’t we talk about Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger more than we do?… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Parfums DelRae Eau Illuminée EDP Perfume Review

Parfums DelRae Eau Illuminee

Parfums DelRae Eau Illuminée is inspired by San Francisco. Now if this perfume was all you had to go by, you’d think San Francisco was filled with dapper gents and was swarming with Cary Grants.

Eau Illuminée opens as a bitter, green, sharp herbaceous fragrance. I definitely pick up on huge amounts of glittery basil and lavender. I also get rosemary, lemon balm and all of the other stuff that grows in herb gardens. However, Eau Illuminée doesn’t smell like the outdoors or a garden… Continue reading | 5 Comments
