Serendipity III is one of those New York City establishments that I think most of us living here take for granted. I know I often forget that this little joint has been around since the 1950’s. It’s non-stop go-go-go. Energetic with a creative and intellectual fizz. Power-walking to a breakfast meeting over the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s life on the sidewalk, early summer breezes, the glow from the lighting in bars and diners, bright apartments with books. Cocktails with friends. A lazy May afternoon in the sun at Park Slope, warmth on the skin. Small flowers in the grass. Fresh air.

Where did July go? I felt it went by really quickly.
Overall, it was a really chill month. It’s summer so a lot of people are vacationing. Throughout the month I was able to entertain folks from out of town. It was nice to catch up with old friends; we’re all spread out all over the place.
February is that month that flies by but I never complain about it. I want the dead of winter to fly by. I don’t want it to last longer.
It was a dull month. There were mid-terms and projects due. The weather was spotty. One day it’d be so springlike and perfect and the next it would be snowing. It was confusing.
I’m posting this late because I was prepping for Rose Week. Then there was Rose Week. And then mid-terms hit and I’ve been crazy busy. I’m finally attempting to post my January Favorites.
