It’s summer! I’m loving it. Usually I complain about the heat and grime but not this year. I’m really feeling it.
June was a great month. I started a class at Columbia. I’ve been taking myself to museums and galleries. It was Pride. Life has been rather stress-free and my skin is looking great. I can’t complain about anything.
So, here’s my favorites from June:
I don’t want to be one of those boring people that complain about the weather, but I’m going to be one of those boring people. The weather in March was so frustrating. We had an icestorm. The disgusting, tar-soaked ice piles lingered for weeks. It was cold and disgusting. All I wanted was spring and it couldn’t be found.

How is already June? This was compounded by my birthday. The older we get, the more time disorients us. I spent the first part of the month overly conscious of mortality and frankly, indulging in a pity party…more like a pity gala being more emo than 13 year old shopping at Hot Topic. We spent a weekend up in the Catskills (David’s birthday follows mine by ten days). This isolation, babbling brook and hot tub crashed my pity party. This was much needed.

February is always a hard month for me. It’s the month where I get fed up with everything from the weather to my life, etc. I’m in a pact where I’m not allowed to do anything drastic in February (like get a divorce, quit a job, move or get a pet). Question of the Week: Quick! Name the last palette you purchased. (Also: how’s it working for you?)
EauMG’s Answer: Honestly, I can’t remember. I could look back at my Empties post but I’m lazy. I think it was Morphe 35k Palette. This is a huge, oversized eyeshadow palette featuring warm neutrals. The colors are really pretty and look great with my blue eyes. There’s a great mix of shimmer and mattes
