Neela Vermeire Creations Pichola EDP Perfume Review

Neela Vermeire Pichola

Neela Vermeire Creations Pichola is a perfume inspired by reflections over Lake Pichola. Pichola is perfume of radiance.

Pichola opens as a spicy orange blossom. It’s like a splash of orange blossom water with sliced lemons. Added into this is a simple syrup composed of sugar and warm spices. I feel like if yellow topaz could have a smell, it would smell like this opening. The heart of Pichola is a floral bouquet of tuberose, a waxy jasmine and lemon-kissed magnolia petals. It’s heady and warmed… Continue reading | 9 Comments

Neela Vermeire Creations Ashoka EDP Perfume Review

Neela Vermeire Ashoka perfume

In a world of excessive perfume launches, you’d expect for the inspirations to be more diverse than they are. But in reality, many of the launches are rather redundant or seem to be inspired by similar things. One of the reasons that I love the Neela Vermeire Creations line is that the inspirations come from a place of authenticity and a true love of Indian culture. Neela Vermeire Creations Mohur Extrait Perfume Review

Neela Vermeire Mohur Extrait

Neela Vermeire Creations Mohur is one of those few perfumes that I’m always in the mood for. It’s a gourmand rose with leather. Mohur is one of my favorite roses. There’s now a limited edition extrait available.

Mohur Extrait opens with a cherry tobacco and coriander aldehydes. Mohur Extrait reminds me very much of the EDP; however, the extrait is richer, deanser and deeper. There’s a sharp, dry camphoric element (from oud and patchouli) that cuts through the sweetness of the rose and carrot pudding. Mohur… Continue reading | 10 Comments

Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee EDP Perfume Review

Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee

Neela Vermeire Creations are excellent perfumes. This is all of the intro that you need.

Trayee opens as a juicy blackcurrant floral with the perfect amount of sweetness and warmth from vanilla and resins. Trayee is complex. Underneath this fruity, sweet warmth is a soft yet sharp oud with green marijuana-vetiver. The scent gets both creamier and smokier with time. I get a smoldering cedar incense with a creamy sandalwood, vanilla, saffron and amber. It dries down to this woodsy incense haze.

This is… Continue reading | 9 Comments
