1970’s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Susan George

Susan George

Here’s one of those “no makeup” 70’s makeup looks. These are a nice change for me. Not all vintage looks are red lipstick or heavy black eyeliner. Here’s what I did to get the look of 70’s sexpot, Susan George:

FACE: Susan’s face makeup is too matte for my tastes, but I’ll forgive it because her skin is flawless. Now I can’t say that for the rest of us; we know that matte foundations and looks are “aging” too. With my fingers… Continue reading | 1 Comment

Hourglass Aura Sheer Lip & Cheek Stain Review

Hourglass Aura Lip & Cheek Stain
no flash

I am a fan of Hourglass Cosmetics. I’m impressed with the line’s formula and color choices. I’m also a fan of lip and cheek stains so I was delighted when Hourglass launched Aura Sheer Lip and Cheek Stain. Each of these products are water-based, easy to blend, and are easy to layer for buildable color. I’m reviewing both of these items in the pretty pink that verges on red in some lights shade, Flush. 1960's actress Suzanne Pleshette

Time for another Hitchcock gal look! Other than the hair, Suzanne’s look is modern looking. This 1960’s look is very neutral with glowing complexion. Because this is a “natural” look, it works for everyone. Here’s what I did to get this Suzanne Pleshette inspired look:

FACE: I applied Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light with my fingers. With a foundation brush, I applied Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. With a concealer brush, I applied Covergirl Simply

More of the 1930’s – Get the Makeup Look of Rochelle Hudson

cigarette card of 1930's actress Rochelle Hudson

This is such a cute and natural look. Rochelle Hudson looks so young in this print. With the plaid, she is quite the modern day hipster! 😉 This makeup look is very neutral; therefore, I see it working for many complexions and eye/hair colors. Here’s what I did to achieve this simple, 1930’s inspired makeup look.

FACE: I evened out my complexion with Shiseido Stick Foundation in O20. I blend with my fingers… Continue reading | 3 Comments
