Seven Days of Eric Buterbaugh*
Eric Buterbaugh is a well-known floral designer based in Los Angeles. Last year, he launched a line of perfumes, Eric Buterbaugh FLORALS, inspired by the medium he knows best – flowers. The Noses work with Firmenich, creating many of my most-worn perfumes from designer to niche. I’m dedicating a week to reviewing this line because like Eric Buterbaugh, I too love florals.

House of Matriarch Forbidden is a perfume potion created from “historically powerful, feared and even outlawed aromatics“. If you read the note list, you can see that theme.
Forbidden opens as a ripe “juicy” floral. It’s fruity yet green, reminding me of tomato leaves and wild berries. The heart of Forbidden is a woodsy tuberose and nag champa. It dries down to woods – slightly smoky woods.

I love Nancy Kwan. And what a fashion icon she was! We will never forget her iconic Vidal Sassoon haircut. Here’s what I did to get a similar early 1960’s makeup look of Nancy Kwan:
FACE: Nancy’s complexion was always flawless, never heavy or “made up”. Her freckles often shown through. I have under eye circles, so I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector and blended with a sponge. I applied a “sheer” amount of Guerlain Lingerie
