Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume
At first I had no idea why the flanker, Calvin Klein Forbidden Euphoria is “forbidden”. It seems friendlier than the first one. Forbidden Euphoria isn’t as “dark” as Euphoria, it’s lighter and fruitier. It’s more like Euphoria for summer, an EDT. Now read the copy and you’ll figure out why Forbidden Euphoria is forbidden. It’s marketed as jail bait.

Tom Ford Private Blend Tuscan Leather is an earthy, chypre leather fragrance. I’m completely in love with the first few hours of wear. It’s a rugged, foresty leather that makes me swoon despite its simplicity. Tuscan Leather should be my dream fragrance but I’m not impressed with this perfume’s dry-down. Tuscan Leather is a perfume that is rugged and masculine but with a feminine smoothness. Reveal is a light woody floral. The opening is a pretty and almost tropical blend of plumeria. I get a bit of bubbly mimosa. It smells to me like florals on a hot, summer evening. Valentino Rock ‘n Dreams is the 4th flanker in the Rock ‘n Rose perfume “line” launched in 2009. I’ve sniffed the others throughout the years but I can barely remember them, so I can’t accurately compare or comment on Rock ‘n Rose in comparison to the others.
