Mistral Grapefruit Red Currant EDP Perfume Review

Mistral Grapefruit Red Currant EDP review

Mistral Grapefruit Red Currant or “Pamplemousse” is described as “a lively, uplifting citrus fragrance“. Grapefruit Red Currant is a tart fruity-citrus fragrance with transparent florals.

Mistral Grapefruit Red Currant opens with grapefruit and tangy red currants. It does become floral. I get soft lemon blossom and an anemic jasmine. It’s a “light” floral but sharp. I can barely smell it on me at all. It’s gone within 10 minutes, but you guys have heard that my skin loves to “eat” citrus… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Mistral Lychee Rose Perfume Review

Rose Week: Feb. 7-11

For some reason, I have always liked Mistral Litchi Rose or Lychee Rose, well in soap form.  I’ve bought a few bars of soap in this fragrance for gifts. But, I never tried the fragrance even though I’ve been tempted many times at Anthropologie. I’m usually not one to love/like fruity florals, especially “light” and sweet fruity florals. I like lychee and… Continue reading | 5 Comments

Mistral Balinese Vanilla EDP Review

Mistral Balinese Vanilla perfume is a rich, creamy, woody oriental fragrance with spices, resins, and woods. Oh, and lots of vanilla. This fragrance is inspired by exotic Indonesian spice markets. Balinese Vanilla is a vanilla fragrance, but it is spicier than most. I think of it as more of a spice fragrance with vanilla than a vanilla fragrance with spice.

I like creamy orientals. I get a “liquid” amber at first. Immediately afterwards, Mistal Balinese Vanilla gets spicy, but it isn’t the… Continue reading | 13 Comments

Mistral Verbena Flower EDP Perfume Review

Mistral Verbena EDP Perfume Review

Mistral Verbena Flower (Fleurs de Verveine) perfume is a vibrant herbaceous citrus fragrance resembling lemon verbena. This is a light fragrance that is clean and refreshing for summer wear.

Unfortunately I am sampling Mistral Verbena in the chillier months. My house is cold; my feet are frozen. All I can think about is Busgrogg, cashmere, and incense-like fragrances. Mistral Verbena isn’t a fall or cooler weather fragrance at all. It’s a light, refreshing fragrance. I feel like if I sampled Verbena in… Continue reading | 8 Comments

Mistral Atelier Fragrance Collection

Mistral will be launching a new perfume collection with five new EDPs in October. These Atelier Perfumes can be worn alone of layered (something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately):
