R.I.P. Max Factor Cosmetics (Well, At Least in the U.S.)

So yep, it is so. P & G is phasing out Max Factor cosmetics (commonly sold at Wal-Mart and drugstores) starting in 2010 in the U.S. but they are going to continue selling it abroad.  Read about the details here. It’s kind of a bummer. Man, the economy sucks.

Max Factor recently went through that new “edgy” image change with the faces of Carmen Electra and Gisele. They began to offer bolder color choices, even if all the pigments didn’t always live up. Oh, the weather is getting warmer which means that I’m preparing for summer. Or at least my summer makeup trends. Every year I get so amped about oranges, corals, tangerines. My first lovely product is #1 Nars Taj Mahal Powder Blush. It is a beautiful, vivid burnt orange with tons of gold shimmer. It melts into my pale complexion .
