September 2017 empties

So, what did I buy this month? I ran out of concealer so I picked up some from MAC. Other than that, I tried to go back to “Low Buy” after my Hungary haul. I also ended up re-ordering some things from The Ordinary. I was doing good and then had a splurge on the last weekend on the month buying an Ormonde Jayne travel set, Mugler Angel Muse and a La Prairie toner. Oh, well.

I went on a day vacation in upstate New York and spent $50 at a drugstore because they had all the stuff that is always sold out in NYC, like that new L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara and the chrome shadows. That Lash Paradise Mascara is amazing! It makes me look like I have lashes (and I pretty much don’t in real life). Overview of what I bought in March: I received my The Ordinary order and so far I love what I’ve tried This is a really effective, cheap brand. I also like their minimalist packaging.

I announced in the end of 2016 that I was putting myself on a “low-buy” in 2017. I have accumulated a lot of stuff that I should be using. The deal is that I actually like the things that I have but I get so distracted by shiny, new things. My goal in 2017 is to buy less and enjoy more. This means that I’m only going to buy things that I really want (no more impulse buys) and that I’m “shopping” my stash.
