Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When it comes to Chloé perfumes, I don’t really have an opinion one way or another. When I do, they discontinue whatever I like (such as Love, Chloé). Everything else has been a rose-y flanker that basically define “generic perfume” smells. It’s not that those are bad; I’m actually genuinely in awe of their line for creating things that are so generic… Continue reading | 10 Comments

H&M Has Perfumes – Some Reviews

H&M perfumes

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing (Some) Popular Perfumes

Last year H&M launched a TON of perfumes. I was extremely skeptical. Who launches this many perfumes at once?! I also remember them having perfumes before and in their true fast-fashion fashion, they were also discontinued quicker than a yellow light turning red. Everything about H&M’s new perfume collection felt so rushed, so fast and well, cheap. Plus, they probably wouldn’t even be available in the U.S. anyway.

Viktor & Rolf Magic Dancing Roses Perfume Review

ROSE WEEK 2019 – A Saffron Rose

It’s Rose Week on EauMG! This is the annual celebration of rose-centric perfumes! This week I’m reviewing 5 fragrances that display a different aspect of rose perfumes.

Viktor and Rolf Magic Dancing Roses is a fruity rose. Initially, I get a large swig of cherry-scented brandy. The opening is spiced with a leather-y undertone BUT it’s still airy, light and fruity. (and BOOZY because of that cherry). This is like a saffron rose shimmering in gossamer. The saffron and spice in this vaguely reminds me of things like Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge
