Miu Miu Perfume Review

Miu Miu

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When Miu Miu was launched, I didn’t want to try it. Why? Because I loved the bottle and ad campaign so much and I didn’t want to be disappointed by the actual product inside the bottle. Reviews started to be published and the opinions were really lukewarm. With so many launches and so little time, I didn’t go out of my way to try Miu Miu.

One day MTA actually ran smoothly and I arrived at a dinner… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Hugo Boss HUGO & Boss Bottled Perfume Reviews

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing Popular Perfumes

I’m trying to spend some time this summer organizing and going through all my mess. I’m attempting to organize beauty stuff, which is not easy. I don’t have much space (oh, and I have too much stuff). I’m also trying to organize perfume samples (this is not easy because I still can’t figure out a system that makes sense). Tory Burch Love Relentlessly Perfume Review

Tory Burch Love Relentlessly

To refresh your memory, I really was not a fan of the signature Tory Burch perfume. Looking back at my review, I guess I was unjustly harsh. But, that was how I felt at the time. I didn’t expect to like that fragrance because I’m not a fan at all of the Tory Burch aesthetic (even though there are plenty of people that successfully pull off this preppy, waspy, colorful 1970’s looks). When I received a sample of Love Relentlessly, I didn’t think I’d even try it… Continue reading | 12 Comments

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume Review

Lancome La Vie est Belle

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I’m going to be honest, I hated Lancôme La Vie est Belle before ever trying it. Even though I try not to be, I can be extremely shallow and judgey. Everything about the marketing of La Vie est Belle gets on my nerves. The commercial with Julia Roberts may be one of the corniest perfume commercials of my adult life¹. This is slightly entertaining as I don’t expect Citizen Kane from a perfume commercial, but what really gets on my nerves are… Continue reading | 8 Comments

Paco Rabanne Olympea EDP Perfume Review

Paco Rabanne Olympea

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When I sprayed on Paco Rabbane Olympèa, I had no expectations. Well, I take that back. I thought it would be a generic  fruity-floral, a real disappointment for a perfume inspired by an unnamed Greek Goddess. When I sprayed on Olympèa I was confused! This was a weird fragrance that brought to mind beach town boardwalks.

I think there’s a lot of similarities between Olympea and Mugler Womanity. Olympea opens with a red berries and this savory, salty caviar and cotton… Continue reading | 19 Comments
