Gouldylox – Poppy Harlow and I have the same hair problem
It’s EauMG’s 6th blogiversary (and it’s my birthday!). Things sure can change a lot in six years:
- I moved across the country.
- I’ve had more than a few career changes.
- I went from having 0 pets to now having 2 dogs.
- I went from having 0 nieces and nephews to having a total of 4 nephews and 1 niece.
- I’ve become a happy and confident adult.

Question of the Week – Name some beauty icons who inspire you.
EauMG’s Answer: Since I was a child I’ve been inspired by my grandmother, Elvira, Cruella De Vil, RuPaul, Isabella Rosellini and Madonna circa 1992. I wish I could say that I’ve outgrown these beauty icons, but I haven’t. As an adult I’ve added the following beauty icons to my list of inspiration: Fan Bingbing, Pam Grier and all of the yé-yé girls.

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume
I’m sure by now, you all know the story behind Madonna’s Truth or Dare. It’s a tuberose perfume based on her mother’s signature scent, Piguet Fracas. I wasn’t bothered by Madonna’s launching of a fragrance now of all times to launch a fragrance. But, I was bothered by it being “inspired by” Fracas. Question of the Week – Do you think cosmetic ads should have a disclaimer if they use excessive photoshop, false lashes and such?
EauMG’s Answer: Absolutely. As a blogger, I have to have a disclaimer for everything. It kills me that brands and classic printed media do not. It infuriates me to no end to see a mascara ad and the model is wearing falsies and photoshop. I’m not saying photoshop should be banned in ALL advertising but
