Parfums de Marly Delina Perfume Review

Parfums de Marly Delina

Do you ever see a perfume bottle and already know what it smells like before even trying it? I feel like the packaging of Parfums de Marly Delina basically says it all. This ornate pastel pink packaging looks like it belongs in Marie-Antoinette’s apartment. It’s one of those bottles that is presenting itself as traditionally FEMININE as it possibly can.  So, of course, I expected a floral and I expected for that floral to have a lot of roses and peonies. Guess what? Delina… Continue reading | 6 Comments

Amouroud Midnight Rose Perfume Review

Amouroud Midnight Rose

ROSE WEEK 2018 – A Fruity Rose

It’s Rose Week on EauMG! This is the annual celebration of rose-centric perfumes! This week I’m reviewing 5 fragrances that display a different aspect of rose perfumes.

Spoiler Alert: I’m covering two fruity roses this week. However, they are so different that I don’t feel bad for covering two fruity-roses during Rose Week. If anything, it shows how much diversity there is a rose, even within roses in the same genre!

Florascent Kokiku EDP Perfume Review

Florascent Kokiku

Florascent Kokiku is a fruity gourmand in the Kyoto Collection. This entire line is new to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and balance of Kokiku.

Kokiku is a delicate green tea floral. It’s a rather abstract, wearing as fresh and sheer fruity tea with a gourmand rose. The feel of Kokiku is Ellena-esque. It dries down to something that reminds me of the most delicate of white tea leaves.

My perfume tastes have been leaning towards the sheer and abstract lately, so… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Indult Manakara EDP Perfume Review

Indult Manakara

After sampling Manakara many times, I didn’t really understand it’s purpose or why it exists at all. It’s a gourmand, candy rose – like a heavily edited Aquolina Pink Sugar. After sampling it many more times, I realize that it doesn’t have to have a purpose. I feel like this was Kurkdjian having some fun. It seems like his attempt at making perfumes for 10 year old girls or for those that are kids at heart.

Manakara is a sticky sweet rose. In fact it reminds… Continue reading | 3 Comments

Parfums de Rosine Vive la Mariée EDP Perfume Review

Parfums Rosine Vive la Mariee

Rose Week 2014

When I received the sample of Parfums de Rosine Vive la Mariée, I thought, “What? They didn’t already have a wedding scent?” Les Parfums de Rosine is a house of pretty florals and romantic roses. I wondered why would they do a wedding scent now? Well, it ends up that the owner’s son got married last year and all of the wedding planning inspired a very special perfume.

Vive la Mariée is a musky pink floral. It opens… Continue reading | 1 Comment
