Recently I ordered a few High Voltage Cosmetics Eyeshadow samples. I can not resist a BOGO! Here I am reviewing and swatching 4 Shimmery Eyeshadows in what I’m calling “romantic shimmer” shades. These colors are soft and pretty. Of course, they can be paired with bold colors for an edgier look, but I wanted to put these all together because they are just pretty, so romantic and candlelit to me.
Here are my reviews and color swatches of Everyday Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow in various shades of pink, plum, and purple.
1 – Jane Eyre Shimmer Eyeshadow – A light beige with dusty rose undertones and silver shimmer. I like this color as a base shade. Pigment applies evenly. I don’t know if this is a limited edition shade or not.
Here are more of the samples that I purchased of Alima Pure Minerals eye products after reading reviews and getting recommendations from Lovely Android and Scenthive. These are all light, neutral colors. These aren’t the most “fun” shades of eyeshadow but I’ll guarantee that I’ll use them the most.

1 – Bubble Tea Pearl Eyeshadow – A sky blue with blue shimmer. I usually don’t like lighter blues but this color is beautiful. Blends evenly. I see this working for blue-eyed blondes.
MAC describes Pigment in Old Gold as “frosted tarnished gold”, the picture online looks like an antiqued gold – like an heirloom locket. Above the pigment is smeared on my hand dry. It is a really vivid metallic. I wouldn’t describe it as a gold at all. It is more of a melange of rust, gold, blue, green, teal pigment particles.
