Question of the Week: We all love our liquid lipsticks, but what are some of your favorite lighter lip products (sheer lipsticks, glosses, tints, stains, balms) for summertime?
EauMG’s Answer: For the most part, I wear full-coverage lipsticks all year long. I’m not the biggest fan of liquid lipsticks because the formulas aren’t up to par with regular ‘ole bullet lipsticks (most are drying, streaky and/or sticky). I’ve never really understood sheer
How is already June? This was compounded by my birthday. The older we get, the more time disorients us. I spent the first part of the month overly conscious of mortality and frankly, indulging in a pity party…more like a pity gala being more emo than 13 year old shopping at Hot Topic. We spent a weekend up in the Catskills (David’s birthday follows mine by ten days). This isolation, babbling brook and hot tub crashed my pity party. This was much needed.
I’m finally feeling like playing in makeup again. I mean, I’ve always loved playing in makeup. I guess what I mean is that I finally feel like posting makeup reviews/looks again. I feel like *talking* about makeup again. I feel like talking about colors and textures and pretty potions. Who knows, maybe another vintage inspired makeup tutorial will show up on EauMG again?
Question of the Week: What is your favorite holiday lip look?
EauMG’s Answer: It depends as I’m rather fickle with these things. I’d say the obvious one, red. But, I also like really dark lip colors and sometimes I’ll go for the light brown/mauve lipsticks with too much eyeliner. This year, I’ve been craving glossy red lips and metallic eyeshadows. Or really dark purple lipstick and minimal eye makeup.
I’ve been in a makeup funk for a long time and I’m finally starting to feel like playing in it again. Who knows, maybe a vintage makeup look tutorial will show up again?
