I was supposed to take it easy this month but the February blahs are real, ya’ll. And I ended up engaging in more retail therapy than I probably should have. I bought cheaper products in fun, colorful shades as a pick-me-up.
I started the month going to Ulta because I wanted the new Lip Lingeries and Strobbing Kit by NYX. They were sold out and I went all the way out there, so I couldn’t leave emptied handed. I ended up buying some
I went the entire month without buying anything UNTIL the day after Christmas. The wonderful Unseen Censer brought to my attention that Yves Rocher was running a mega sale. And I have been wanting the Vanille Noire body products. They were 50% off. I picked those up and a lot of other stuff that I didn’t need. I forgot how generous Yves Rocher can be. Boxwalla is a new box subscription service. Or you can buy them one-time. What makes Boxwalla different than a lot of other services is that there are four themes or interests: Beauty, Book, Food and Film. The boxes are available every two months and you can choose which type of box you’d like.
The Beauty Box focuses on cruelty-free, artisanal products. Because of that, I think it will introduce people to a lot of small, high-quality brands that they may otherwise not try.

This month we moved. After being forced to deal with all of my stuff, I realize that I have too much stuff. I donated 90% of my clothes and shoes to LifeLong AIDS Alliance (I’m attempting to do the capsule wardrobe thing). I want to simplify my life.
