Prada Infusion d’Iris EDP Perfume Review

I like iris scents. Does my collection need another? Most would say “no”. But, There is something about Prada Infusion d’Iris that is unlike the other iris scents in my fragrance wardrobe. I typically go for dark/cold/metallic iris or a foody/gourmand iris with violets. Prada Infusion d’Iris is neither.

At first (when it was launched), I disliked Infusion d’Iris EDP and I didn’t see what the fuss was about. This is why I never tried it on my skin at the store and left the blotter card… Continue reading | 17 Comments

Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au The Blanc (White Tea) EDT Fragrance Review

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing A Popular Fragrance

Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au Thé Blanc or White Tea is a light-wearing clean synthetic musk fragrance. Bvlgari Thé Blanc is an unadulterated perfume. It is clean, fresh white musk with crisp, citrusy white tea.

Bvlgari Thé Blanc is crisp and it comes across as very synthetic. I don’t mean synthetic as an insult. I mean that it is one of those “modern” fragrances that’s so clean and crisp. There is no dirtiness to it. It’s a unisex fragrance and it lacks all florals… Continue reading | 10 Comments

DSH Perfumes d’Anjou Perfume Review

DSH Perfumes d'Anjou

Parfums des Beaux Arts by DSH d’Anjou is a great “work” or “my first fragrance” type of perfume. I typically prefer something heavier (thank goodness I don’t work in a fragrance free zone) but I can appreciate the softness and wearability of this fragrance. For a fruity-floral, this is one of my favorites. For a pear, d’Anjou is one of my least favorites… This is one that is fresh, fruity, slightly floral. It is flirty without being hissy or overwhelming. It is light and breezy. The perfume house… Continue reading

Tumbling Orange Blossoms: An Orange Blossom/Neroli Fragrance Guide

orangeblossom

I can’t get enough of orange blossom/neroli scents this summer. It is very difficult to find “guides” online, so I’ve created a brief  collage/guide to fragrances which are heavy on this light, bitter floral. There are many scents on the market with these notes. I’m focusing on those that are heavy on orange blossom, like a splash of a refreshing Lebanese floral water in an iced beverage. I am looking for those “delicate” scents. From what I understand orange blossom and neroli are the same thing it just depends… Continue reading | 1 Comment

DSH Perfumes Eau de Fleurs d’Oranger du Roi Natural Perfume Review

DSH Perfumes Fleurs d'Oranger

This summer I have been craving anything orange blossom. This mainly includes my orange blossom fragrant floral waters mixed in iced tea or orange blossom sorbets. I have always loved orange blossom in gastronomy but for some reason have kind of ignored it when it comes to fragrance. I go in fragrance spurts and this summer I have been craving orange blossom. It is such a bitter but delicate floral.

DSH Perfumes Fleurs d’Oranger du Roi is a crisp orange blossom perfume.  Evidently Louis XV… Continue reading | 2 Comments
