The Lipstick League – week of 4.14.14

Question of the Week: Do you have a “signature” scent? If so, what is it?

EauMG’s Answer: Bwahahaha. No. I’m too much of a fragrance flirt. I can’t commit. I do have some preferences. For example, I love roses and “cold” floral fragrances. I also have a soft spot for patchouli, fig, osmanthus and aldehydes. Overall, I tend to wear roses, aloof florals, va-va-voom orientals and hippie dippie patchouli scents.

Question of the Week: In your opinion, what’s the most overrated beauty product of all time?

The Lipstick League – week of 3.28.11

I love this 1940’s era photo of the classy Rosalind Russell with an English bulldog. This picture makes me want an English bulldog even more! I think Frink the Frug needs a brother 😉

It was a busy week for me, but I’m on vacation now. Time to catch up on sniffing new smellies!

Question of the week: What new spring product are you loving the most or are most excited

1950’s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Janet Leigh

Janet Leigh

I think this is a very pretty vintage look. It’s all about the glossy lips (that aren’t red!). This look will look great on most complexions. Here’s what I did to achieve a similar 1950’s pre-Pyscho inspired Janet Leigh look:

FACE: I applied Lancôme Absolue Cream Foundation in Ecru 10 with my Elizabeth Arden Foundation Brush. Under the eyes with my fingers, I applied Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer in Corrector. With the puff provided, I applied… Continue reading
