Perfumes themselves should give us emotions. These emotions are why I think many of us enjoy this olfactory “hobby”. We really get hooked when we smell a perfume that puts us at a loss of words. Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I was pleasantly surprised by the 3rd women’s perfume by Juicy Couture. I loved the original, hated the 2nd and really like this 3rd one. It surprised me. This is a big ‘ole 80’s floral amber in modern day drag. Fun and sassy.

The opening reminds me very much of Givenchy Amarige. And then it gets a little Mugler Alien. So, yeah, there’s amber-style citrus with big and bold white florals. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Perfume Review

Every now and then I will smell a fragrance on a blotter card that will make me cringe, this one gave me a toothache. It was like spraying raspberry jam, pecan pie and caramel onto a blotter card. I realize this works for a lot of people, but for me, it was too much.

Confession time…I was a huge fan of “The Simple Life” and love Paris Hilton. However, this aesthetic really didn’t mesh with my gothness. So, I never understood the Juicy Couture aesthetic and I often spent time making fun of it. I mean, I didn’t want to look like a hipless teenager in hot pink terry sweatpants with Old English letters on my bum. This wasn’t my style and gosh, it’d never be flattering on me.
