Blackbird Y06-S Perfume Review

Blackbird Y06-S perfume

Blackbird is a Seattle-based indie perfume brand with a minimal aesthetic and fragrances with backstories delving into science fiction, art and oracles. Throughout the years, I’ve reviewed a few Blackbird perfumes. In all honesty, I have never wanted to try one as badly as I did the newest launch Y06-S. Why? BANANAS. I am one of those weird people that loves the scent/flavor of artificial bananas. It’s so sickly sweet, unnatural but if you really focus on a real banana isn’t it as… Continue reading | 11 Comments

Penhaligon’s The Revenge of Lady Blanche EDP Perfume Review

Penhaligon's Lady Blanche

Penhaligon’s Portraits Week

Penhaligon’s has launched a new collection of perfumes, Portraits. This is basically a concept collection/olfactory comedy-drama inspired by a fictional, wealthy and totally dysfunctional aristocratic British family. And if you want to go there to read more about pregnancy safe perfume and how most naturals aren’t beautiful, then do it. But, I’m a perfume blogger and I’m… Continue reading | 7 Comments

The Lipstick League – week of 10.21.13

Question of the Week: If you weren’t blogging about beauty, what would you be blogging about?

EauMG’s Answer: Oh, good question. At one time I had a home renovation blog and that was fun until the home renovation sucked out my soul and made me miserable. I could see myself blogging about textiles from around the globe and textile arts. Or something hyper-local like a city guide to Seattle just so I can talk about
